The presentation will start with a short summary of the most influential views on the main trends of Hungarian history from 1945 to the present. This will be followed by a survey of the most controversial historical topics during the system change during the period 1988-1990. The second half of the presentation will be devoted to the debates of the last decade focusing on Hungary's place in Europe.
