Profile
Historian Irina Onofrei is a Ph.D. candidate at the Ion Creangă Pedagogical State University Chişinău (Moldova). From October 2018 to July 2019, she is working as a Stipendary Fellow of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the University of Regensburg. During her stay in Regensburg she has been collaborating closely with the members of the Graduate School.
Her doctoral dissertation thesis is entitled "Corruption Between Reality and Perceptions in Soviet Moldavia (1964-1991)". She presented and discussed this project in the "Forschungslabor Geschichte und Sozialanthropologie Südost‐ und Osteuropas" at Universität Regensburg on 31 January 2019.
